The Bridge mission is to assist educators and students by creating a contemporary learning environments where students are thought their rights and responsibilities as Digital Citizens.

TeoLex Ltd is a young and dynamic company formed in 2012. Although our company is relatively young we are passionate about education and eSafety, our staff have a combined experience of over 30 years within the education and ICT sectors. Our skills base includes curriculum education consultancy, state school teachers and head teachers and also senior web design production.

Since our pilot study, which took place in April 2012, we have had overwhelmingly positive feedback from the school community. Teachers have been amazed at how naive pupils are regarding e-safety and how invaluable The Bridge is in allowing them to acquire life skills and then apply their new knowledge base in a secure environment. Most of the pupils went on to abandon their main stream social network accounts.

Social networking is a global revolution, and is here to stay. For this reason here at TeoLex Ltd we aim to empower children by giving them the tools they need to navigate through the minefield of the world wide web. We aim to equip pupils with the skills and knowledge they will use for the rest of their lives, and the sooner they start the better. We believe that this form of education offers a precautionary principle which not only reduce risks but also stop many incidents before they happen.

Dealing with cyber-bullying and cyber-harassment is a day to day battle in schools today. These issues are a problem to deal with because schools don't have any control, or power, of what happens on the social networks in question nor do they have an alternative to offer pupils.

The Bridge is an in-house social network which provides a platform for teachers and schools to teach children the tools of social networking in a structured way. This teaching fits right in with the National Curriculum via lesson plans that are prepared by specialist teachers. This enables the teachers to see and confront situations unfolding online and then deal with them before they can become a real issue for all concerned. Together we can make a difference.
